Sam + Brent

I first met Sam and her mom only a few weeks before the wedding but I was immediately captured by her laugh! See, I work with her sister and they laugh just the same! And I love it. Laughter is one of my favorite things and someone who laughs with everything in them because it's 100% genuine... well, I'm a fan of theirs. So, I was immediately a fan of Sam!

Sam and Brent's wedding may have been small, but there was so much LOVE in that room. You could tell that the people who came to see these two truly love them and these two truly love each other. Thank you SO much for letting me be a part of your day! Many blessings, Sam and Brent, as you begin your life together!!

PS: Red White & Blue PHOTO CONTEST!!!!

It's that time... I said it was coming and now it's here... the first ever PS Contest!! And since I know you're all dying to know the prize, I'll tell you what it is up front. Although I'm sure you could guess without much help from me. The winner of the PS: Red White & Blue Contest will win a family photo session* with me! Or, it can be a senior session, newborn session, kiddie session, engagement session, bridal session, etc. (sorry, no pictures for your wedding day can be won through this or any PS Contest).

The contest is called Red White & Blue and I want it to mean whatever it means to you. You, yes, YOU reading this blog post, will submit your favorite picture that depicts red, white and blue. It can be your kids celebrating July 4th last year with sparklers, it can be you and your family dressed up in your best Dollar Spot Independence Day stuff, it can be your daughter welcoming your son home from deployment, it can be your little boy saying the pledge with the US flag flying in the background or or or... the options are limitless.

After the submission date, all photos will be added to this blog and people who visit will be able to vote on their favorite picture. At the end of the voting period, the photograph with the most votes will win! So how do you get votes? You tell everyone you know to come and vote!! Yep, it's that simple.

However, as with any contest, there are rules.

1. You have 2 weeks to make all submissions to me. Between June 1 and June 15 please email all photographs to sabrina.lewis@yahoo.com.
2. In the email, please include your first and last name, names of those in the photograph and a title for the photo. Please also include the email address by which you wish to be contacted as this will be how I notify the winner.
3. YOU must have taken the photo.
4. If the photo is not of your family members, please obtain verbal agreement from them that it is ok with them that you submit the photo.
5. Any inappropriate photos will not be posted.
6. All photos must be around 1MB in size.
7. Only one submission per household. I won't have any real way of checking this out (unless I know you and your family) so please use the honor system.
8. You can live in any part of the world to submit a photo, but note that if you live outside of the Greenville/Spartanburg, SC area, there will be a fee to travel to you should your photo win (i.e. if you live in Fiji and have the most amazing 4th of July photo, you will be responsible for purchasing my plane ticket. Because I WILL come!).

Busy Weekend

Oh wow, what a fun weekend!! I had so much to do but of course didn't get anywhere near getting it done. But that's ok because I have TONS of pictures to sort through and post and get back to my clients/friends with. Everyone was so wonderful and it was such a blessing to see and be a part of three very distinct stages of life. Thanks for letting me celebrate with each of you! I hope you enjoy this quick peek...

Sweet Caroline

Caroline and I have been trying to get together for a while now and finally the weather was great, the grass was green and there were leaves on the trees! Caroline is a senior at Boiling Springs High and is so stinking cute! I love her and her personality and her spunk. Good luck with the rest of your senior year!!

Just a short sneak peak at Anderson and Laura's e-session. I had SO much fun with them! Of course, you would have to be a rock about 30 feet below the ground to not have fun with these two. I can't wait to share more of the pictures as I work on them!

little ones: Noah Brennan Blizzard

noah was born to some awesome parents who are in my community group at church. he was born around 7:30pm on february 17 and it then rained for the next 24 hours :) i love how God has a sense of humor!

Black and White

Cristie and her family wore black and white for the photoshoot which just emphasized the awesome B&W pictures that we got out of the shoot. Some of them still look great in color though!

Abstract

Well, these are kind of abstract. Regardless, they're my favorite non-traditional ones from a shoot I did in January (yes, I'm a little behind) for some friends I know from work. I'll be sure to post some of the more traditional ones later.
